FM Makeup Review.

I'd never heard of FM until a few weeks ago, when their catalogue got posted through my door. I'm always intrigued by new makeup so when this arrived I couldn't turn it down! I'm forever trying to find a new powder that evens out my skin tones but doesn't feel heavy on my foundation, so that was first on my list. I also wanted to try a new natural eyeshadow colour before I bought the MUA one that everyone's raving about.

I was really impressed with the products packaging. The boxes looked sleek and classy, giving the whole brand a positive feeling. The use of gold on black gave it a really nice edge, which I was pleased to see carried on onto the products. I was slightly disappointed with the size of the eyeshadow, although the pot does seem to have some depth to it so it should last a while. Visually, the powder was exactly how I thought it would be. The product came with a sponge applicator that fits nicely under the powder. It even has air vents in the compartment to keep fresh. I like that fact that it comes with a mirror as I seem to lose all of my compacts! The colour however, was slightly more orange than what it seemed in the catalogue. When applying it, the orange tones did blend into my skin nicely, but I was then left with a different concern. When looking at the powder hardly any shimmer is viable, but when applying it my face seemed to be covered in glitter. Even after switching to my fingers to try and blend it into my skin thoroughly, the shimmer was still really extravagant. This powder might suit a night out, but it certainly is not suitable for day-to-day wear.

The eyeshadow was only a few tones darker than my skin tone, so it definitely gave me the natural look that I was going for. It has a somewhat creamy texture to it and applied lovely to my eyelid. The colour really made my eyes pop and stayed on almost all day.

Don't forget you can still enter my giveaway! Six days left to win some art supplies :)

  2. I'm looking for a powder that is light too, I hate wearing heavy make-up in the summer! I also have the same problem I prefer a matte look but a lot of products I buy end up being too shimmery or orange cause I'm naturally quite pale! Hope you find a good product soon, great review! Tilly x
